Storage Cap

The jug and the way it stops when the gas reaches the spout is an amazing idea. Though from what I experience from the caps, I think they should be a thicker stronger material. I have 2 jugs and both caps split I'm guessing from the pressure of the gas in the can because I haven't abused nor dropped the can since I've purchased them. But I will say the company is awesome because the caps was replaced with no questions ask and thanks for great service!

I have lost count of how many of these caps have developed hairline cracks, resulting in leaks and allowing air into the system. That air then causes the jug to overflow — which is especially frustrating because preventing overflow was the primary reason I purchased this product in the first place. I have opened countless support tickets about this issue, and the response has consistently been to send me another replacement cap. Unfortunately, the replacement caps keep developing the exact same cracks within days. I have only been a customer for 3 months and have gone through nearly 10 caps, all failing in essentially the same way. At this point, it is extremely difficult to view this as anything other than a design flaw. I also recently discovered that, despite the product having a lifetime warranty, the warranty only covers shipping costs for the first year. Given how frequently these caps are failing, that is a significant concern. I refuse to purchase additional Tuff Jug products until this issue is actually addressed. The electric pump looks great, but if it is engineered with the same level of reliability as these caps, I have no interest in spending more money on it. Buyer beware. I cannot recommend Tuff Jug products until they properly address this issue with one of their core components. The jug is essentially useless without a cap that can reliably seal and hold up to normal use.

I’ve bought 4 jugs. 3 for myself and 1 for my son in law. One of mine (maybe a month or 2 old ?) developed a tiny crack in the screw on lid. Enough to leak a bit. 1 email with pics to Tuff Jug and they sent me a new one. No problem. The jugs are solid.
