Storage Cap

I like your service. I have the new cap installed,but I also have another 2.5 gallon and a 5 gallon that also developed cracks. Let me add only hand tight not over doing it with a tool and they still cracked. I believe the caps need to be metal with replaceable rubber. In my humble opinion. Am about to send my request for replacement caps for the two containers after I get through writing this with photos. I really love the product,but am getting mixed feelings with cracking and do take care of the containers because am wanting them to last. I think you guy's need to come up with a better solution on your caps.

This is the second time this cap cracked and spilled fuel all over the place. The first time it cracked at the molding seam. This time it cracked all around. I don't abuse these jugs. I've only used them to keep fuel on hand for our compressor. Only twice have these jugs fell over and each time the cap cracked. We also use the tractor supply jugs and those only started breaking after 1 year in the constant sun and many drops and falling out of the truck. Those jugs cost $25 compared to tuff jug $40+ cost. For $40 dollars I would expect it to handle it tipping over on the floor but no, the cap cracked each time.

Want to thank the folks at Tuff Jug for their quick response and replacement cap for a minor issue that occured. Will purchase more jugs as needed. Thanks again!!!
