Tried to upload photos but the form does not like the .HEIC format. I know not many people use iPhones. After two warranty claims shortly after purchase, I would rate the Tuff Jugs as meh. Problems and engineering concerns are mostly with the caps and spout. 1. The auto-stop spot is made of a thin outer clear plastic hose with a small HDPE inner vent hose. Under any type of bending or pressure the vent tube either detaches from the barbed connector near the top of the auto-stop nozzle or it cracks somewhere along the length of the hose. Once this happens you are now holding 5 gallons of gas up in the air while the gas pours in a very erratic fashion. In my case, while fueling a boat, moving the jug to a different position while trying to correct the erratic non-vented pouring, is a great way to spray gas in to the water. This is especially embarrassing when trying to show off your new $145 jugs to a friend. Again, in order to use the auto-stop feature, once it has stopped you have to lower the jug to horizontal and you bend the spout wether or not you want to. 2. Caps essentially come in three pieces. An outer rig, an inner small storage plug, and the spout. So filling and using the jug requires various combinations of removing the ring, replacing storage plug with the spout and when finished then putting it all back together again. Of course the storage plug is a small black disk that is easy to lose (I can't find two of my three already). You cannot transport the jug with the spout in place due to either the height of the jug and spout or horizontally as it will spill fuel easily. 3. The end of the spout does not fit in to the fuel tank fill of an automobile. It is slightly larger than the fuel tank fill, so you must position the spout to rest against the fill opening with a bit of pressure so that the spout does not slip to the side and spray fuel, while holding a 40lb jug, in the air at an angle. This takes a bit of coordination. Alternatively you can try and hold the spout in position with one hand while cradling the jug against your body with the other hand / arm in a bit of a one armed hug. If you lean your head against the bottom of the jug it helps keep it in position. 4. The Tuff Jugs are not DOT fuel transportation compliant. Not sure if this applies to me going from the gas pump to my boat with the jugs in the car but I guess it's important. So I recommend the following improvements: 1. Change the material of the inner HDPE vent tube. Use something that can withstand a little bending. 2. Add a leash to the small stopper cap. Keeps you from losing this small but important piece. 3. Reconfigure the spout end so that it fits just inside an automobile fill pipe. 4. Consider a more robust material for the jug itself and DOT certification. I don't think the jug material will last very long with daily use. So again, I rate the tuff-jug as a Meh (NY word for just ok). When the stars align, you can position the jug, cap, vent tube and in-line and it does dispense 5 gallons of fuel in 50 seconds which is cool. When it goes wrong, you spray fuel on your driveway, side of car and in to the water next to your boat, and you look foolish in front of your wife, who wonders how you could have spent $145 on this. Long-term I see more warranty claims until Tuff Jug gets tired of me at which point I'll just ask for my money back and failing that will go to AMEX and fight the $145 charge. Maybe they will give me a free ripper cap, maybe not. We will see. Jugs will live in the back corner of my shed until I get tired of looking at them and put them out for recycling. Thanks for reading. Right now I am missing my $145.

These are awesome! The auto stop, fast flowing spouts are what we should have had YEARS ago. I can empty a 5 gallon tuff jug in no time, no more arm fatigue from holding the SAFETY cans at just the right angle, at just the right amount of pressure to have the gas flow. And god forbid you aren’t paying attention and the gas goes everywhere! These have a much better design to hold them while fueling, and the auto stop design REALLY WORKS! I get one of these with every can now.

I had a warranty issue with one of my jugs. The issue was quickly addressed and a new part was shipped out. Great customer service.
