This bag is absolutely stunning and the craftsmanship and quality are fantastic. The vachetta leather feels and looks lovely and I'm sure will age even better with patina as it gets put to use. From a functionality standpoint, I love that the bag retains its structure even when it's partially filled or not filled at all. It makes it easier to pack and understand how much capacity remains, unlike many other weekender bags that sag. Overall I highly recommend this bag because it's a work of art, but I do have two cons that result in 4 stars instead of 5. - 1) The fact that this bag is over $1K (USD with tax) and doesn't come with a luggage attachment strap is frustrating. Functionality-wise that is a big miss. It doesn't make sense that we have to pay extra for that. Especially because the Granville Weekender (same price point as this one) comes with the luggage strap built in. - 2) The metal buckles on the shoulder strap are quite nice. However, after putting the bag + strap to use on a trip, I see the metal buckles continually dig into the leather bag and result in imprints that look unpleasant.

Dream Bag!

I own a number of CF products. The Carry On X, the Check In, Compact Weekender, and Palissey Briefcase (purchased as a grad gift). I really love the weekender but it doesn’t have a trolley strap and it makes frequent travel difficult. I had been eyeing this bag for quite some time and finally purchased on Black Friday and I am so glad I did. Every product I have from CF is stunning and functional but this bag is absolutely a work of art. I want to carry it everywhere! My only issue is that the Smart Holder isn’t included and it should be at this price point. Otherwise, I could not be happier with every piece I own. Heirloom quality and built for real world use. It doesn’t get any better than that.
