Desk Riser

Just what I needed

This is perfect to get me on my feet while at my desk. Beautiful finish and easy up/ down operation.

Desk riser was for my daughter. She is very happy with it and will be taking it to work with her as soon as she can wrestle it away from her husband.

Tough to lift!

I really want to love this desk riser because there’s so much about it that I genuinely like. The biggest issue for me, though, is how difficult it is to raise. Lowering it is completely smooth and easy, but every single time I want to raise it, I have to physically pull the desk upward, which is a struggle. Since I planned to switch between sitting and standing at least once a day, this has become pretty frustrating. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, so I checked the total weight of everything on the riser — monitor, laptop, keyboard, and a small lamp — and together they weigh under 16 pounds, which is well below the riser’s stated capacity. I even had my husband try it, and he struggled with it too, and he’s built like a football player! So unfortunately, it definitely seems to be an issue with the lifting mechanism rather than user error. That said, I absolutely love the design. One of the main reasons I chose this riser was because it’s one continuous surface. My previous desk riser had a lower keyboard tray, and no matter how I adjusted it, I could never get comfortable. This one feels much cleaner, more functional, and honestly looks like a wonderful piece of office furniture. I’m still hoping the lifting mechanism loosens up and becomes easier to use over time, because aside from that major issue, this desk riser would have been exactly what I was looking for.
