Beautiful looking, functionally disappointing

I really loved the way these shoes looked. They fit perfectly. However, walking in them was extremely awkward and clunky. I considered putting up with it, but ended up returning them knowing that for the price, they should be easy to walk in as well as being beautiful.

Beautiful with a couple of caveats

I'm always looking for well made square toed shoes and these fit the bill. Despite being much more than I would typically spend, I thought the style was worth it. I bought them for work because I couldn't wear open tied shoes and like to be more stylish than gym shoes. They look great with skirts and dresses and fun pants and still feel summer-y. However, the soles are very heavy. The wood looks great, but my feet and legs get tired wearing them. Also my feet get a little sweaty and I don't want to wear socks. All manageable, but I would recommend these shoes for short-term standing and style more than work on your feet. Also, I had to exchange my first pair since the 9 was a little snug. beven the 10 is a little tight on the toes. But, quality, customer service and look are all excellent!!
