Model 2516

This item is surprisingly heavy duty and if someone was capable of breaking this lock off I am nearly certain that the trailer would be rendered unusable. I wasn't sure why the lock had places for the safety chains until I had installed it the first time and then it all made perfect sense. Well done gentleman.

2516 modification

When installed, you can still lift up and pull back on the trailer latch lever. I am a machinist and there seems to be too much clearance on the slot (or groove) that the ball plate slides into. This allows you to tilt the assembly down and lift and pull back the latch lever. Evens though the lock is still secure; it does allow for a possibility for it to be compromised.

Amazing lock!

I ordered this lock. It came so quickly and works amazing. I love the durability and strength of it residential remodeling and Construction Co. and this is absolutely perfect. I feel safe leaving my trailer locked up now. It did come with one of the keys wrong I reached out to customer service and Arthur took care of me extremely promptly without any issues and now I have a new set of keys that function perfectly thank you proven locks. I will be recommending you and using you again for my other trailer trailers.
