ONE LESS DECISION
I’ve used another meal-prep service in the past and actually lost quite a bit of weight while using it, so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect when I decided to give Clean Eatz a try. My biggest memory from the other service, though, was that some of the meals were just incredibly bland. Even hot sauce couldn’t save some of them.
That has honestly been the biggest surprise with Clean Eatz.
I started with the Everyday Meal Plan, and I have yet to have a meal I didn’t like. I’m not saying every meal is some five-star restaurant experience—it’s meal prep—but somehow even the simple meals are GOOD. I had one of the basic chicken meals for lunch today, added a little Cholula, and genuinely enjoyed it.
I’m a single dad, so right now the budget doesn’t quite allow me to eat these for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (although I absolutely would 😂). For now, I use them primarily for my work lunches, and that alone has been a game changer. I’m planning to try the High Protein plan on my next order and eventually work my way through more of the menu.
Something else that deserves recognition is the shipping. My orders usually arrive on Thursdays, which unfortunately tends to be a day when I’m out of town until later in the evening. Every single time, I’ve gotten home, taken care of everything I needed to do, gotten my daughter to bed, and THEN opened the box—and the meals were still frozen. That is seriously impressive.
But probably the biggest benefit for me is something that has nothing to do with taste: one less decision.
Decision fatigue is real, especially as a single parent. Knowing that I can go to work, grab a meal from the freezer, heat it up, and have something portioned and ready to go without figuring out where I’m going for lunch or what I’m eating that day is incredibly valuable to me.
Hopefully as my budget allows, I’ll eventually be able to use Clean Eatz for both lunch and dinner. Until then, these have absolutely earned a permanent spot in my work-lunch routine.
If I had to give a rating, I genuinely couldn’t give anything other than a 10/10.
My only complaint?
Sometimes I wish the meals were a little bigger. 😂
