I was pleased to see just how stout this grill top is. I seasoned it just as I do my cast iron pans and, although I have yet to use it, I feel it will perform well.

Unique aperatice, but we enjoy it

We got this instead of the griddle top because its description led me to believe it was Teflon or some other nonstick coating, and we didn't want that. This is a nice metal surface but does not cook like a flattop or griddle. I was unfamiliar with what a Plancha was. Think of a flat Wok. It is good for getting things real hot, real fast. It's been great for veggies and thinly sliced potatoes. We have yet to see how bacon and eggs will cook.
