I wasn't specifically hunting for a laundry room scent when I tried Barr Co Grapefruit & Fir, but the moment it was running in that space I knew it had found its home. The combination just makes sense there. The grapefruit brings a clean, bright citrus lift that feels genuinely fresh rather than artificially "clean" — none of that synthetic linen or detergent-adjacent quality that a lot of laundry-space scents lean into. The fir underneath grounds it with something a little green and cool, keeping it from going sweet or cloying. Together they smell like clean air with actual substance to it. For anyone sensitive to fragrance — and I am — this one is remarkably easy to live with. It doesn't announce itself aggressively, it just makes the space feel more pleasant every time you walk in. On a Pura schedule it's subtle and consistent, which in a utilitarian space like a laundry room or hallway is exactly what you want. You're not trying to create an atmosphere in there, you just want it to feel fresh and welcoming, and this delivers that effortlessly. Barr Co clearly knows what they're doing with this pairing. It's one of those scents that doesn't try too hard and is better for it. An easy favorite and one I'll be reordering without hesitation.

I have this one in the bedroom and I love the sweet but spicy aspect. Because of the fir scent I think I'll use this more in the winter and swap out something lighter for the summer months. Could definitely use this all over the house in the winter.
