I know these items are hand made, but what I received is not a cabasa. It is a rattle. (The online photo is inaccurate.) The body is not carved, so none of the classic rasping sound of a cabasa is possible. The beads are also loose with 1-2” tassles. Worst of all, the body sheds copious amounts of coconut fiber when shaken, making a mess. This will be for decoration, not use. Disappointed.
