So as I was buying paint the lady asked what I was painting. I told her I was remodeling the basement because I was going to put the master bedroom down there. She let me know about radon. I called a local radon mitigation specialist and he told me to order the eco blu. After having it plugged in quite some time and realizing the levels were higher than I liked and not safe, I had the mitigation specialist do his thing. Within 3 days after doing the radon mitigation the eco blu has not registered over 1.4 and has mostly stayed below 1. I'm good with that. I just feel much better and safer knowing that the air I'm breathing is a little bit cleaner.

This radon detector was recommended by the radon expert who came to our secondary residence to install a radon mitigation system in May 2024. The first detector is now near my work desk in Montreal. The new one, bought this year, is now at the secondary residence and functioning. I have three different radon detectors there... the Ecosense detector is the one I rely most on the first level. The other two are in the basement. Radon gas affected my wife more than me - she had had a lung burned by radiation therapy and she was coughing a lot... The doctors did not understand. Since the mitigation system was installed, her coughing has stopped. We needed not only a radon mitigation system, we needed a good detector to keep track of the radon count.
