I'm a bit surprised by how substantial this is. I was expecting a thin garment-weight lamb-like leather but this is definitely a thick cowhide. Also, the strap is actually padded with foam on the underside, which makes it bulkier and stiffer than expected, albeit very comfortable as a shoulder strap. I'll have to break it in and see if it softens up. My main gripe is that when adjusted short for waist-carry, the extra nylon strap ends dangle down so long and there's not a good way to tuck them in minimally. Waist bags are never too flattering and this is no exception, but at least it looks cool and the dual function means I can snap it onto a bag and get through airport security with a whole extra carry-on purse, functionally speaking. It's a bit pricey for what it is but at least the leather seems quite substantial and high quality.
