Pros & Cons

First, I have used my 40 oz trek from SM for the last few years and was ready for an upgrade. Although downgrade in size, the 30 oz holds enough water to get through and I appreciate the lighter weight compared my to lugging around my bigger one. I was struggling between 3 and 4 stars. I like it, but could definitely see room for improvement. Pros: Truly water and leak proof. Can flip and shake around without any water leaking. Handle seems durable. I wonder how it will hold up, but seems to be enforced well on the lid. Love the rubber base. I truly appreciate it not “banging” on the counter when I set it down. Especially when full it’s of water. Sleek design. Wish I got it engraved like my last one but it’s got a soft touch to it and a slim design desirable for most cup holders, unlike the trek 40oz wobbling around/being top heavy on any shallow cup holder. Cons: Cashew looks like mint green to me. I expected an off-white and beige accent color. The accent color is light grey and a lighter grey handle. The straw is different and I can respect the change, but not easy to quickly wipe off if you get lipstick or anything on the mouth piece, unlike a straw where you could wipe it off. With my old water bottle, I could switch the straws out and it be clean. The top is the same if you change the straw. So when I’m eating and get thirsty, I’m more aware of dirtying the mouth piece. Plastic ring where straw connects to the underside of the lid. I feel like I need to be mindful of keeping that clean so no mold grows. I’m not sure how or if possible to take apart lid to clean small parts. When drinking there are a lot of bubbles. Unless holding perfectly 90 degree angle, there are a lot of bubbles with each sip. When drinking and driving the lid being open obstructs my view, just weird and not super easy to drink while driving or watching something. I wish the lid went all the way back and hugged the backside of the bottle.

I am obsessed with these water bottles! I enjoy them so much that I have been getting them personalized and giving them to other people! I've thrown away all my other brands because they don't compare!
