Essential Pandemic Horror

There are very few films centered around the Coronavirus pandemic that I'd consider to be essential, but The Harbinger is clearly on that list, if not at the very top. Andy Mitton's brilliant indie speaks to the isolation and existential terror of that time in ways very few have achieved. His script is economical and smart, with complex characters and rich relationships, and the lead actresses are nothing short of brilliant. The limited budget is rarely apparent and never a distraction. Simply bringing this to Blu-ray is enough to earn praise, but the commentary is an entertaining listen, and the deleted/extended scenes provide some compelling insight and offer a delightfully unhinged alternate climax. The discussion in the booklet is also worth reading. I'm thankful to have this gem in my collection.

Good horror film with good quality video and audio.

Excellent moody picture

Great performances by relatively unknown cast. Brought me back to that time we all went through a few years ago. The picture was overall dark and gray-ish which fit the subject matter and time period. My order was packaged very well with bubble wrap; all discs secured in their cases with no damage.
