Marta Yellow

I love the bold yellow colour and elegant design of this bag. It’s eye catching, beautifully made and I appreciate that it’s handmade in Spain. This is my 1st time buying from La Portegna and owning a vegetable tanned leather bag, so while the leather feels stiff, I’m hopeful it will soften with use. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by poor packaging and a disappointing interior finish. For a bag that cost AUD $692.10, it arrived in a damaged postage box with no protective packaging, just a couple of tissue papers. It’s a miracle it wasn’t lost or ruined. While the exterior looked fine, the lining was sewn in completely crumpled, giving it a careless, 2nd hand look - it was if it had bern made from scraps. At this price that’s unacceptable. I still love the design and hope the leather wears in beautifully but the lack of care in packaging and finishing means I’ve taken off two stars. For a premium product, attention to detail matters.

I love the purse, is so versatile and pretty.
