2RU Rack Case

Great looking and sturdy cases. Shame I can’t get the 3RU for two months.

After the other brand plastic/aluminium road case for my bass amp failed to survive storage at the local community hall, I needed to get something more sturdy. Internet searches indicated the VFM version to be my best choice, not too heavy, but thick enough wood to take some weight from other things thrown in top of it. I was a bit doubtful placement of the carry handle on one of the removable ends, but on receiving it I am happy that it should do the job very well. The case construction is very sturdy, with slotted aluminium extruded frames into which the wood edges sit, rather than a mere exterior aluminium plate that would ultimately bend. The patterned finish on the faces is a bonus - looks better than the industry standard finish. Let’s see how it goes for the next 12 mths or so. If I remember to do so I will report back. Very happy thus far.

The ordering was simple on the 'net - the 2RU Rack case arrived just a couple of days later. Exactly what I wanted, and priced extremely well.
