Beginning of a sweet watch addiction

OK, when I saw the Spinnaker Piccard offering I was intrigued, I remembered the history of the dive that this timepiece homages from my childhood. I grew up when America lead the way in space and deep sea exploration. Now I think we lead the way in obesity, but that’s another subject in time (bad pun, I’m sorry). I kept reading reviews and clicking YouTube videos about the Piccard, my fingers and wallet itching all the time. Then I saw the Spinnaker deep discount on the very favorite color offering. Well my wallet exploded as my finger involuntarily pulled the trigger on the purchase. That watch and the build quality have increased my Spinnaker collection to 3 more, with another in “delivery” through shipping. To say I am impressed with Spinnaker timepieces would be an understatement, and my main interest is Aviation themed and chronographs, what am I doing? Site navigation is easy, hell this 63 year old managed 5 purchases on an iPhone! Shipping was free and prompt. What more could you ask for, a 2 year waiting period for the “privilege” of purchasing a luxury brand? No thanks, I’ll stick with Spinnaker and similar brands.

Love These Watches!

I bought a Volcano Black Piccard, used, to see f I would like the watch. I mean, pictures are one thing, but would I like the actual product? The weight, the massively domed crystal, how would it be to actually wear the watch? Well, I'll tell you. No, I don't like it-- I LOVE IT! So, I bought the Dark Cerulean, and will probably buy the Hunter Green, too. This watch is so different. I applaud Spinnaker for taking a risk, and not producing just another "me too" diver watch. This is the only watch I have been wearing--all my Seikos, and even my Planet Ocean, are stuck in the drawer. If you are on the fence, hop off! Make sure you have a tool to size the band correctly, because you don't want this thing swinging wildly on your wrist, but once snugly fitted, it's a joy to wear. The only improvement I'd recommend is that Spinnaker make replacement bracelets available. You will scuff it up, because you will have it on your wrist all the time.
