We bought two large platforms to cover our second floor fitness room for an old house to minimize noise level. We have a treadmill, bike, and weights in the room. Before we put the platforms down, you could hear nearly every footstep when on the 1st floor, and even on the second floor - it was a very loud room. I am absolutely shocked at the noise control these platforms provide. I didn't think it was possible for a platform to provide for almost complete silence with the treadmill. It is amazing. I would highly highly recommend using these for second-floor fitness rooms or any noise silencing needs - they're incredible. They are also very sleek looking and make you feel like you're in a professional gym! If I could rate them 10 stars I would.
