It's a solid value for the money and very easy to program, it works almost as soon as you turn it on. The zip code function also makes it much simpler to align with your local radio bands.

First thoughts

Overall happy with the scanner, only concern is that many of the channels for my area are not being picked up by the scanner. Not sure if this a programming issue or if the channels are encrypted.

So far a good unit! With changes from Analog to PS-25 I & II, I'm glad I have the unit! The 'deep technical' ends of the scanner; I have a person struggle! From updates, to narrow the area I choose to listen to! Once I get this mastered, others where I live may need help when they upgrade(of they decide to make the investment)! In due time, I personally made the right choice! On a good note!!! I do like the "easy programing" of "just the Zip Code"! Where in the old days, I had to program each frequency!!!
