It's a solid value for the money and very easy to program, it works almost as soon as you turn it on. The zip code function also makes it much simpler to align with your local radio bands.

First thoughts

Overall happy with the scanner, only concern is that many of the channels for my area are not being picked up by the scanner. Not sure if this a programming issue or if the channels are encrypted.
