Profitec GO Espresso Machine

Profitec Go is an excellent home espresso machine

I love my new Profitec Go, which I purchased to replace my 14 year old Rancilio Silvia. I’ve had a little bit of a learning curve with the PID and a two hole steaming wand, but I’m making good cappuccinos now. I only wish the machine had a longer electrical cord.

Just what I hoped for

Has been great so far. I bought with the walnut accents which look and feel great. The one after-market upgrades I've made were a single-hole steamer tip (~$10 on Amazon), since I don't think the two-whole steamer works as well, and a bottomless portafilter. In general a great machine.

Minor program glitch, but great shots.

If I hit the pump button while the unit is warming up, the PID shows odd numbers as though it's showing target temp plus differential (and iterates down to target) instead of minus differential. But that doesn't adversely affect performance. Unit is very consistent and after dialing in, pulls perfectly extracted shots every time. I'm very happy with it.
