5 Stars with a caveat

I had a Rancilio Silvia for 23+ years, and loved it! So, I was a bit nervous about switching to a new machine. I am happy to say, I have not regretted my choice. The Profitec GO is an excellent machine in almost all ways. I love the brew control of PID, the build quality, and the delicious espresso it makes! I only wish it had a separate switch for the pump to get water through the steam wand instead of having to put in the backflush disc in a hot portafilter. In spite of this, it’s still a great machine and a great value.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter. She was daunted at first - learning how to use the machine. But she LOVES it now. We tried the Guatemalan coffee and it has become our favorite. We are not thrilled with the grinder we purchased as it is messy - it spits the last bits of coffee. We bought the blue Profitec and it is beautiful.
