Smooth yet complex

Fantastic beer! I’ve tried many from Athletic and this is near the top. Slightly sweet, refreshing and citrus at the end, like a good wheat beer. BUT, has some extra mid-palate for complexity - a warm, clove-ish, smokey-ish flavor that is balanced but adds something special. Great stuff! FYI, the color is not amber (at least the batch I received), more slightly hazy golden.

I was pleasantly surprised with body and taste of this wheat brew. Great alternative to my summer favorite Bells Oberon. FYI I went to two restaurants that did not carry Athletic. Heineken 00 is a zero, but Sam Adams Just as Hazy is righteous.
