Pretty Nice

I recently ordered the “Shogun” Forged Carbon Fiber ring. Working with Element’s customer service was fantastic, and I got what I wanted, even with a custom width (7mm). Shipping was quick, and I appreciated that the ring sizers they sent prior were actual rings with comparable width. So, given that, the ring fits great. It looks pretty cool too, and it’s comfortable. It’s as light as you’d expect for carbon fiber. I only have two small gripes that knock a star off for me: It doesn’t totally look like the picture. Don’t get me wrong: it’s close, and I like it. But it’s a lot darker than the images suggest and it almost looks like it’s one of the other rings with waves rather than the swirly look of forged carbon fiber in the pictures. I’m happy enough with it to keep it but I was hoping it’d look a little closer to the pictures on the product page. Second, there’s a small mark or scuff on the ring that I assume is where the ring was joined or something. It’s small. No one will ever notice it but me, and I can face that part down or inside my fingers. But for the sake of future customers, I think it’s worth mentioning. I may be able to sand it out. Haven’t bothered to try yet. For this price (I paid 185 at time of purchase), I think it’s a very solid value for a pretty cool and unique, if imperfect, ring.
