Contemplative but not meandering, this is a tale of a man who lives a haunted life. Despite the otherworldly conceit, this is not what one would truly consider a horror film (and despite the time travel element, it isn’t science fiction). The true haunting is that of consequence and regret, and the walk is a search for true tranquility along the road not taken.
