I know better engineering when I see it

I have been in Aviation my entire career and recently retired from jet engine manufacture. So, I know quality engineering or lack of it when I see it. This is where I just need to come out and say it, been a dodge man all my life however with the Cummins they have some serious engineering issues. Now I am all for factory engineering unless there is a better product. As an OEM you don’t always get things right the first time. Mr. Banks is an engineer and, in my opinion, has a better product, plain and simple. Now this isn’t my first Banks purchase either, I started with his air filter which led to my purchase of his monster elbow and finally the intercooler upgrade. Now I will say this Bank’s products are not cheap but neither was the lousy engineering that comes with a stock Cummins. I have not been disappointed with any of my Bank’s purchased products so far, forgot to mention the rear dif cover too. If his tuner was out, I would have purchased that too already. I pull a fifth wheel RV and everything I have purchased has helped the efficiency of my engine. The stock air filter is horrible, the stock induction elbow what were they thinking and not to mention the grid heater issue? The stock induction pipes diameter chokes down and have an installed reduction crimp. I am 68 years old, and the intercooler was the hardest of kits to install just because of access. However, all the kits have great instructions and if you have an issue, you can call them. In conclusion Banks has far superior engineering and a better-quality product than the OEM.
