Sport-E

I would like to report that not only can you cook bacon with a GoSun Sport-E hybrid solar oven but it actually makes really good crispy bacon. Win.

So just got this a week ago, needed to wait the week to use it. Had a tough time deciding between 4 and 5 stars, but went with 5 because of how I would usually use it. The bad - There’s really only two things I noticed that would give me pause. First is the size. In the description it say meals for two. You would be hard pressed to do that. I cut up one large potato, it was a big one. And it took up entire tray. I suppose I could have put it in perfect for more room, but that seems weird. So I did one potato on first cook and 3 sausages with two bell peppers on se one cook. I cut up 2 of the sausages and left one whole as a test. Cooked potatoes for 20 minutes, wasn’t at all ready then gave it 10 more minutes and took out. It wasn’t quite done, but it was close. Then the others stuff. 20 minutes and check. Nope. Put in another 20 and was good to go. Put potatoes back in for 20 and everything was perfectly cooked. 2nd bad is texture. Food has multiple things to make it what is . Flavor, this thing is good to great. Smell, when coming out of the tube is top notch. He’ll even potatoes with nothing on them but butter made me want them. The last in my opinion is texture, and unfortunately this does not give that. I heard/read about leaving it out a bit. To allow the steam to release. It didn’t make much of a difference. The good - It works really well. The product is stable and seems like will last a long time. Nothing seems cheaply made. In reality for me it made 3 sausages with bell peppers and a very large potato in about 2 hours. That’s not ideal if I want to eat now. But planned lunch or dinner it’s going to go very well. I can prepare a meal, put it in, and leave it while I go do other stuff. During hunting season that’s awesome. During an emergency it’s even better

So far I have cooked fish, tri tip and chicken breast. l used only the sun, no electric. Food cooked fast in early evening sun. The carrying case is well made and the shipment to me was faster then I expected.
