I dislike the heavy gauge ground wire that Insteon has changed over to. Its attachment to the mounting plate precludes the device from sitting flush on the electrical box and contributes unnecessary bulk inside the box, particularly when there are multiple ganged devices in the box. I don’t know of any other electrical devices that require such a heavy gauge for the ground. If you were forced to upsize due to a local authority then you have done the majority of your customers outside that local a great disservice.
