Just wanted to tell fellow newbies (to CNC at least, maybe less so to woodworking) that the Plate is absolutely the best way to get up and running with Shaper Origin. I'm still learning a lot about the Origin and its other accessories, but less than one hour after getting everything out of the box, Plate helped me finish two small projects that had been on my to-do list forever. Couldn't be happier so far!

Another Shaper Solution
Honestly, I am embarrassed to say that it took me 3 and a half months using the Shaper Origin and Workstation before I broke out Shaper Plate. I needed to see if I could use it to help me cut a series of fairly deep half lap joints for a frame of a dining room table. The length of the lumber that I used prohibited using the table saw for this project. So plate was a great solution. After using it for this project learning a bit about its capabilities I promise you I'll be using frequently in the future!

Game Chamger!
The ability to bring the Plate to the workpiece and not have to fuss with setting up tape makes the workflow so much more efficient along with the ease of setting up the base grid and reusing for different designs.
