A haunting twist on the fresh "sport" fragrance, Room 237 is inspired by the spotless hotel bathroom in Kubrick's The Shining. This scent opens with a bracing vinyl shower curtain accord and an otherworldly green-floral blend of wild fleabane and estragon.

Came for the sample…stayed for the full size!! ;-)
Ive been dying to smell this one for a while! Clean, floral, powdery, plasticky and extremely wearable for me. The Shining is a forever favorite so this was a must try. Immediately skin tested and upgraded to the full size! Deixis will also be a future upgrade!

Not like the original…
This is not the Room 237 that I loved so much. The reformulation has lost the magic of the original. The original was fresh, but had a certain kind of sweetness in the plasticky shower curtain note that enveloped me and made me relish in the scent all day. It smelled so clean, but you could sense the warmth of a presence lurking nearby. This new formulation has a sharp note that pierces my senses in a way that certain perfumes do that aggravates me. It’s a note that reminds me of hairspray or perfumes like Aqua di Gio that always hurt my nose. It’s too bright. The sweet freshness and uncanny undertones are gone. The dry down leaves this same sharp note that I just can’t get behind. I have given it some time and there are moments I feel like I can sense the original, but that sharp note takes me out of the experience.
I’m honestly disappointed I purchased a whole bottle and that I have so little left of the original. It’s like seeing a beloved friend become someone else you don’t appreciate. I really do feel a sadness about it. That said, I respect all of Bruno’s work and artistry. I’m just really sad to lose the original Room 237.
