In these days of fast fashion & retail waste, I respect the principles of repair, reuse, recycle and love the japanese aesthetic of wabi sabi. This mending kit is a nice starting point for anyone who is looking to extend the life of a favourite garment. It would also make a lovely gift for a crafty friend. It came in a sweet soft zippered pouch and included not only a variety gold fabric off cuts to use in my mending, but also 3 skeins of gold thread (2 cotton & 1 silk), needles, nigiri style thread scissors and instruction cards for 3 styles of stitching to use in my repairs. I’ve already used it. I love it.
