Non-negotiable addition to my pedal rig

I always enjoyed digital recreations of the horizon drive such as the NDSPs Misha amp. I was skeptical about whether I needed a physical unit or not but after recently acquiring my first real tube 5150 and later pairing it with the physical pedal I was blown away by how much more articulate my playing felt. Similarly to how the amp informs my touch, this pedal inspires me to play in ways that would make a classical guitarist from the 18th centuries head explode. Stoked on the new addition to my rig and looking forward to keeping up with Horizons future endeavors.

Turned my Orange OR30 into a Mesa Boogie

Did exactly what I wanted it to do. I play a lot of live gigs with my Orange OR30 amp. Sounds great, but lately I’ve been chasing a Jerry Cantrell-like tone. The OR30 is already dark sonically, but loose. I wanted a tighter low end for palm muted riffs. I wanted my rig to sound like a Mesa Boogie this pedal saved me from having to buy a new $1700 amp with a different voice. The noise gate is an absolute bonus. The combination of tone-shaping capabilities of the Precision Drive, my Xotic Booster (always on, set low) and the noise gate feature accomplished that Mess Boogie Sound. I’ll keep this pedal forever.

Very versatile pedal for and tuning. The bright knob works wonders.
