Bronze rectangular cufflinks inspired by brutalist jewellery from the 1970’s. From the 50’s jewellery design, as with other arts, became much more free and experimental. By the 70’s designers like Québec’s Walter Schluep and Israel’s Rachel Gera were playing with shapes, rough textures and oxidation, working with the jewellery making process rather than hiding it. I love the honesty of the approach and the more natural forms that result.
