Awesome raft. Forgot to trim my 75 lbs sheperds nail(she is comfortable in rafts) and it held up without any struggle. The XL does hold us both with room to spair. I got the raft without a TiZip so it will be perfect holding a backpack of gear and my dog. If I did decide to get the TiZip I would rather have the normal size. Rapids with my dog are not a risk of take so if I ever decide to use the spray deck it would be on a trip without her and gear can be piled on the floor so a Zip really doesn't seem crucial for my situations.
