Half Moon Bay Candle

I love Modern Theory candles but this one didn't quite light the flame. I bought it as a gift to introduce the brand to a friend and thought it was a good choice as they no longer live in CA and miss being out here. So it was very thoughtful. There were little air pockets in the jar where the wax didn't fully set in. It smelled nice when I held it up to my nose but the scent was almost non existent while burning. The candles I've purchased before were very fragrant so that was a disappointment. Overall it was just ok. Still love the brand though.

What happened?

My daughter gave me my first candle several years ago. I LOVE the half moon bay scent! I have always followed directions in lighting , letting the candle melt to the edge then blowing it out. My newest three candles did not all respond this way. Two large candle simple will not melt out to the edge; they burn in the middle, straight down. What a waste of an expensive candle! My small one in the bathroom, however does burn correctly: to the edge. I am disappointed as your scents are wonderful for me.

I can feel the ocean breeze

Love this candle and the way it makes my house smell. Takes me right back to Half Moon Bay and all the great memories I had there.
