While these hoops are really quite small and thin, the details of them are worked out really nice, especially the eyes of the snakes. The scale texture makes them look quite intricate and the smooth head almost adds a little sparkle to them, while they are overall quite subtle. The knurled surface of the scales might aggravate some people's ears, but the last section of the tail is quite smooth, making them comfortable to wear. Having to bend the actual hoops sideways to open them may seem a tad nerve-wracking the first few times you do it, because it very much feels like you'd sure break them, but it actually seems to work quite well.

My favorite septum piercing I have, was a little tricky to put in at first but once it was in and the tail was set in the mouth it was super secure . It sits on the face really well and because of its construction , if you move the head/tail part inside your nose you can have the look of just a textured ring.
