Beautiful dress, just didn’t sit on my frame well.

I have a short torso, and the top of the dress was just a bit too tall for me. Which would probably have been okay if the back weren’t open. But because of the exact style of this dress, the waistline of it either sat too low on me (my wide hips) or on my waist, which pushed the cups and shoulders too high up. Definitely could have been amended with a good tailor, but I ended up choosing another style that I liked a bit more on my frame! I am wider than I am deep.. if that makes sense. It can make dress finding rather challenging!
