The printed instructions were clear and included useful tips. The included photos were also a nice addition. As a long time sewist, I ended up thinking I could have done without directions and figured it out on my own. I did appreciate that there was no shipping charge to add to the cost after I decided the price was a little costly for something that is quite easy to assemble with minimal materials. There really isn't that much cost involved with the included fabric and I added my own batting as I thought the included batting was not up to my standards. -- I will add, though, that the premise of the faceplate cover intrigued a true Featherweight enthusiast at my local sewing store. I bought her a kit as well and I'm happy to have the nicely printed instruction booklet with pre-cut materials ready to give her to share the idea with her.

Loved how it helps keep the scratches away from the chrome. Easy to make and a great gift to other featherweight owners.
