To be able to do this, they have developed a completely new core material called

i’m a newbie
i wanted to review these from a newbie’s experience in case it’s helpful for anyone else. i’ve only played on two other string sets - a generic beginner set on a “cheap” student viola and then helicores on a student viola set up at my local luthier (which was obviously significantly better). i agonized about which strings to buy once i bought my own viola (so many factors!!). i have a 15.5” suzuki no. 3 viola and these strings sound great on it. i love the deep sound of the C and G strings. i got the metal A and it plays well, but it is VERY thin! a bit “sharp” feeling on my pinky. i am curious and may order the synthetic A to compare eventually. i also have the perfection planetary geared pegs. whether that’s a factor or not, once the strings settled they have stayed shockingly in tune and need minimal adjustments. i didn’t buy helicores for my own viola because i disliked the tinny sound of the D and A strings - there was a residual “ringing” sound as the notes faded. and i haven’t tried dominant strings yet due to cost. even though these aren’t a TON cheaper, it was significant enough to try these first. giving it 4 stars because i need to try the synthetic A string. but overall, very happy with my purchase!

Muy buenas aunque me parece que para ser hecha para violas de 15” son algo largas.

Love these strings!
I've been looking for warmer, more responsive strings for my instrument, and these are it! They sound great. The only thing is that it takes a few extra days for the pitch to settle, and they don't last all that long. I get about 6 weeks out of a set, but they're also about half the price of the strings I used to use that lasted 10 weeks, so it's a wash financially. Totally worth it to me for the sound of these strings!
