Excellent subwoofer

Recently installed and have been enjoying this subwoofer tremendously. I do recommend the upgraded feet (and wish they were included by default, but what can you do). If you're looking for a smaller form-factor subwoofer, you can't go wrong with this one.

challenges with DOA

I should start by saying that the support I received from Nic was fantastic. He was quick to answer the phone, and helped me with troubleshooting my new subwoofer. With that said, it was certainly a disappointment that my new subwoofer was dead upon arrival. DOA electronics is not incredibly uncommon, though I would have LOVED if there was some type of testing before shipping to the end user. I went through numerous efforts of troubleshooting before I called in for support. After an hour or so of working with support, we concluded that the driver is likely faulty, and a new driver is being shipped out. While I'm capable of field swapping the driver, I suppose I would have preferred a brand new subwoofer. Additionally, I would have appreciated shipping on any DOA warranty item to have more urgency than the 10 days currently scheduled. I love my SB -17 Ultra in my living room and can't wait for the new SB-1000 to help the KEF LSX multimedia speakers in my office. I'm submitting ratings for this subwoofer on what I expect the output/tuning to be once it's operational.
