Frames were cute but not flattering for my face once I could see with prescription lenses

I purchased the frames from a vendor at an event. The frames were cute on the stand, and I assumed that they were cute on my face when I tried them on, but I realized that was not the case once I received the glasses with my prescription lenses. Due to my poor vision, trying on glasses without my prescription is challenging because I cannot see clearly, and I normally depend on the feedback of the optometrist. Once I received the glasses and put them on, they were uncomfortable and pinched my nose, as well as the style made me look like an old woman. I contacted the vendor to ask if the glasses could be swapped for another style and was told that they do not offer that service. I was hopeful to try to find another source of purchasing glasses, but I will stick with a reputable retailer because they do allow for changes to satisfy customers. Also, they have the digital technology that allows me to see what the frames will look like on my face, while I have on prescription glasses that allow me to see clearly. The vendor offered 20% off if I selected another pair, but that would be more money out of pocket, and I am still stuck with glasses that I can't use. Money wasted and a lesson learned.
