GRAnaREC Mid-Layer Jacket

Perfect choice

Nearly no weight, perfect fit. Does a great job as a midlayer in Europes cold winter this year. Will do as great in spring as a ultra light jacket

I ended up purchasing all three jackets for my own use. I am relatively short—152 cm tall and weighing 52 kg—and even in Japan I have difficulty finding clothes that fit my body properly. Garments made in the United States or Europe usually have sleeves that are far too long for me. The Grana Rec Jacket was also slightly large for my frame, and the sleeves were so long that they completely covered my fingertips, making it awkward to wear.　 ◆ What I like about the jacket •The fabric does not feel cold against bare skin, which I would rate ★★★★★. •Considering the thickness and lightness of the fabric, the insulation is quite good. Personally, I feel it is comfortable down to around 5C’degree so ★★★★☆. •The water resistance/drainage performance exceeded my expectations. Rain and snow did not seep in as much as I had anticipated, so ★★★★☆. •The windproof performance is very satisfactory. •I particularly like the hidden pocket on the back. It is useful for storing items I don’t use frequently, such as gloves or tissues. •I am also satisfied with the pockets and the front zipper. •At one point, the fabric accidentally came into contact with the filament of an incandescent lamp. It neither caught fire nor melted; only minor damage occurred. I felt genuinely grateful for the durability of this product at that moment. ◆ Points I hope can be improved •After one rinse wash, the water resistance/drainage performance dropped by about 50%, so I would rate it ★★★★☆. •In the second winter (second season of use), the fabric at the cuffs wore through and developed a hole. As a result, I purchased a second jacket. •For people who find the sleeves too long, I would appreciate some kind of adjustment on the inside of the cuffs to tighten around the wrist. This would also help prevent cold air from entering. This concludes my review. I hope this conveys just how much I value this product, as I ultimately purchased the same jacket three times.

The main advantage of the jacket is that it is light and easy to carry around. Keeps you warm when travelling, whether on a plane or moving around outside. Use it daily during Winter, Spring or Autumn.
