It looks very nice. Assembly was fairly easy; all the parts were there. The one thing for which there was NOT any instruction was the connection to the matching pedestal. I did figure out a reasonable way to use the threaded rod in the pedestal, but a hint would have been nice. I was able to set the gnomon at approx 42 degrees (Chicago) but marks on the mount would be a useful improvement. It was easy to align at midday, and it keeps fairly good time. The time band could be slightly more uniformly circular. All in all it’s attractive and I like it.

It looks beautiful, but being a Tool and Diemaker of trade it always gets me when bolts and screws are to long . And some of yours are at least 1/2" to long . So PLEASE fix that
