Still getting these figured out
I’ve been growing artichokes for about 8 years now, and have gotten mixed results. My first attempts were with green globe. I got a nice crop the first year, and about 2/3 of the plants overwintered successfully and produced the next year. Sadly, our garden got razed after that while we did a house addition, and I’ve never had quite the same success with these or Imperial Star. Oh well - I’ll keep playing around and try to find the right spot in the yard.

Green globe artichoke
The green globe seeds grew fast, healthy and vigorous and are now in our outdoor garden. I’ve grown this variety before and they always produced delicious artichokes.

Hearty Arties
The seedlings are very healthy. All the planted seeds sprouted. Started under lights, no heat mat. Recommend.
