Nostalgia

Unique and addictive

I received a sample of Nostalgia in the November Olfactive Collection, and it was by far my favorite of the scents received. To me it smelled like the scene in the movie Perfume where the antihero nears Grasse on the road—there is leather from the travelers and nearby tanners, dust and sunshine, fields of sweet smelling hay and rose de mai and narcissus. It transports me to my own mental scene built from that movie and other pictures of Grasse I’ve seen. I know nothing of the actual experience of being in Grasse, but this perfume makes me feel like I might have been there. It’s amazing, and amazingly wearable, considering how unusual and artistic it feels. I couldn’t resist a full bottle and it makes me happy every time I sniff it.
