Canny Collar

Great collar!

The Canny collar has been a life changer for me! I have a 10 month golden retriever that’s a strong puller and so distracted that a prong collar was not effective. The first time using the Canny collar was unbelievable! My pup walked right beside me on a loose leash and she got used to wearing it in no time. I have used the Gentle Leader in the past but I really like the design of the Canny collar where it clips behind the head instead of under the chin. It keeps the head from turning to the side if she pulls so I think it is more comfortable for the dog. I would highly recommend this collar for anyone who struggles walking their dog.

The product instructions state that the “collar is not a replacement for training.” I agree; however, the collar is poorly designed. As in other reviews, I too had the issue with the nose band falling off. The dog quits pulling (desired behavior), looks to the handler, and the nose band falls off. I tried two different sizes. Basically, this training tool “requires” the handler to maintain a tight leash (applying pressure so the nose band does not fall off). Where is the reward for the dog? I will be returning both collars.
