Solid Brass Hexagonal Rosette

Nothing wrong w/ rosettes but I can't use them

I'm trying to return some features of my 100 year old home To their original state. When we removed the replacement plain brass-colored rosettes, we discovered the sizes of the holes in the door had been increased to 3". Therefore, there is nothing to screw the new rosettes into. I'm hoping to be able to return these rosettes for a refund.
