I’ve had 2 of them for a few years. They are good for hungry animals trying to eat plants. If you have a trail camera it’s even better watching them run for the hills.

The unit works well. However when I experienced a problem this year and sought online help I was disappointed and so should you be. One of my two units was leaking after I reinstalled it this spring. Since it was dripping from the sprinkler head, I assumed that was the problem and purchased a new one but that also leaked. I then sought help on your chat online, got an agent and went through about 30 minutes on the phone answering questions. I suggested to her that I thought it was a shutoff valve problem but she concluded that the problem was likely the monitor/controller unit so she sent me a new one, free of charge thank you. Once it arrived and was installed I turned the water back on and the leak was still there. I contacted Orbit again and this time got a male agent who listened to my problems and finally agreed with me that the shutoff valve might be the problem so this time I purchased a new shutoff valve that should arrive tomorrow. However rather than waiting, I took the unit apart, flushed out the shutoff valve and reinstalled everything and the problem was solved. I assume some dirt from the hose that was left out in the garden during the winter got into the valve through the screen and prevented it from fully closing. So my point is I paid for a new sprinkler head and new shutoff valve, you paid for the new monitor/controller because the unit was still under warranty and the problem was simply debris in the shutoff valve, something you agent should have suggested before we both spent money to repair the original unit. I suggest you share this with your customer service team as it may save a future customer time and money and save Orbit unnecessary warranty repair costs as well.
