High bright light, no shadows and wide area light coverage. Working under the car, under the hood or emergency lighting when electric power is out. Will buy more, worth every penny.

OK. I'm a Lumen-aholic. The brighter, the more throw, the better. I'm a big fan of a particular quality torch company that starts with an "F", and sounds like a mythical fiery bird... They offer some of the most powerful handheld lights on the market, white laser lights, work lights, camping lights, and also, quite a few head lights. What headlights they offer, ALL are solid beam type, with some floodlight capability. These are limited in ability and practicality. I have checked out myriad of multi-LED strip headlights, and concluded that neither massive lumens, nor focused beams, are not the best for camping, hiking, or walking around the house or property. All you really see, is whatever is in the spot projected. Lightbar, has done it right. No single spot of light that hides everything to the sides or above, but a broad side to side, and up and down spread of useable, "all seeing" illumination. What you normally see in the daytime, is what you see at night, with the Lightbar's three levels of lumens. The two levels of red light, keeps your night vision intact, and does not attract the bugs (which is the MOST useful feature while camping or hiking!). The day I received my light, I charged it up immediately, and when the sun went down, set out onto the local mountain bike trail. 5 hours later getting home, I still had two of three bars showing on the battery level. I used the medium setting mostly, but played with the low and high, and the red light the entire hike. The view is as close to perfect, as any light could want to be. Total illumination of the trail, the bushes, trees, wildlife. It's as if I was in a 360° bubble of light! I think the only improvement, could be an over-the-top elastic band, to better hold the weight of the light bar and battery pack on the head. Otherwise, this light is the perfect solution for no hands night time illumination.
