Challenging Chess

The adaptive play of the Centaur is a real challenge, and is the most human-like of chess computers/software I have encountered. It adapts to my play throughout the game, and even in Friendly mode it will punish errors. I have analysed games, and the Centaur adapts to within a few percent Accuracy of my play- if I am having an off day it matches, and if I play exceptionally well it catches up. I have read a lot of negative comments about it dropping pieces to try and allow you to equalise- my experience is the opposite- it punishes me if I make big errors, but will give some positional chances. I have even let it play some bots, and it adapts pretty quickly to them, without me needing to reset the memory. I love it. The only negative is that it does feel a bit delicate- I am being very protective of it! Other than that, it is a superb computer.
