I use this foam roller everyday and it is very essential for any type of exercise. Quality foam and would recommend to anyone with muscle pain!

Good Quality, Slightly Too Firm

This is a well-made foam roller, with smoother sides and "knobbly" sides for targeting different areas. However, the foam is a little too firm for my liking, making it unforgiving for focusing on one area long enough to get that "melting" sensation as the muscle relaxes into the pressure. I also have a TriggerPoint GRID foam roller; the SMAI design is very similar to the TriggerPoint GRID foam roller. However, the foam in the TriggerPoint GRID is slightly more forgiving and more to my preference.
