Perfect for cruise excursions

Just finished a Viking River Cruise thru Paris, Normandy and Belgium. The bag was awesome. Room for umbrella,trekking poles , wind breaker and docks. The d rings were great. Attached 2 small bags with first aid supplies and one with condiments. Best of all , it rode comfortably on my hip. I’m 78 and wish I discovered this 20 years ago. Given the quality of the bag, it would still look brand new.

This is my first Tom Bihn bag, and now I can see why the brand is universally loved. The design, the build quality, the versatility - all are off the charts. I needed something big enough for my 11" iPad, as well as my Kindle and a plethora of EDC gear, and the Medium Cafe Bag fits everything with room to spare. And since I prefer to carry by hand rather than use a shoulder strap, I love having the option to stow the strap and go with just the handle. Well done, Tom Bihn!

Exactly what I needed

I bought this bag in conjunction with two other Tom Bihn bags to make a system for hauling things around - a Ghost Whale Organizer Pouch and an Everyday Cubelet. The three bags work together to let me haul around keys, glasses, etc., that are too much to just carry in my pockets these days. However, there are days when I want to carry a couple of books or my iPad as well, and this cafe bag works exactly like a genuine messenger bag. It also can hold my Nikon CoolPix 950 camera. Keys go in the Ghost pouch. It and and glasses clip easily to an included snap hook, allowing me to easily transfer between the Everyday Cubelet and the Cafe bag. The cafe bag can also hold the cubelet, giving me great flexibility in organizing gear when going out making pictures or other activities. And to top it all off, everything is built to withstand rugged daily use while still looking great. I'm glad I found Tom Bihn!
